Process overview
The EPS Crusher & Regranulator is an integrated system that turns EPS pieces (packaging, boxes, panels and boards) into small granules and beads, ready to go back into production.
The EPS Crusher is a mill that reduces EPS pieces to granules of controlled size, up to 10–15 mm. The EPS Regranulator then refines and regranulates them into a more homogeneous, stable product. Conventional grinding damages the bead structure; controlled regranulation is designed to preserve it, so the R-Beads keep the closed-cell structure and water resistance they need to perform reliably in new construction materials.
Benefits for licensees
The regranulated beads then go into the Politerm® Evolution Plant, where treatment with E.I.A. makes them compatible with cementitious mixes. R-Beads + E.I.A. = Politerm® R.
