Edilteco S.p.A.

Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data are handled on ediltecotechnology.com, in all its language versions, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian data protection law. It covers only this website. For other relationships with Edilteco — customers, suppliers, newsletters — the general Edilteco privacy policy applies.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Edilteco S.p.A., Via dell’Industria 710, 41038 San Felice sul Panaro (MO), Italy — VAT and tax code 01039230360.

For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights: privacy@edilteco.it · +39 0535 82161 · or by post to the address above, for the attention of the Privacy Officer.

The data we process, and why

When you write to us through the contact form

Data: first name, last name and business email address (required); telephone, company, country, company profile, lines of interest, available covered space, timeline and message (optional). Together with these, the form records the language of the page, the page it was sent from, and the date and time.

Purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where you ask for it, to assess with you a possible licensing partnership.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and Edilteco’s legitimate interest in managing business contacts (Art. 6(1)(f)). Your consent is not the legal basis: the checkbox in the form only confirms that you have read this policy.

Is it required? Without the required fields we cannot answer you. The optional fields help us give you a relevant answer the first time.

No marketing. The data you send through the form are not used for newsletters or promotional communications. If Edilteco ever wants to send them to you, it will ask for your consent separately.

Your territory is already licensed? In that case we may suggest putting you in touch with the Edilteco partner who holds that territory. We forward your request to the partner only with your agreement; the partner then handles your data as an independent controller.

To protect the form from spam

Before the form is sent, your browser solves a short calculation in the background. This involves no cookies and no external service. To limit abuse, the server counts the submissions coming from the same connection using a pseudonymised fingerprint of the IP address: it is computed with a secret key and changes every day, the address itself is never stored, and the counters are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

Legal basis: Edilteco’s legitimate interest in keeping the website and its mailbox secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visit statistics

To understand which pages are useful and where the site can be improved, we use Plausible Analytics. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not store IP addresses: visits are counted through an anonymous identifier that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.

Data: page visited, referring website, country (derived from the IP address, which is then discarded), device type, browser and operating system, and actions on the site such as a click on a button, a change of language, or the fact that the contact form was sent — never what you wrote in it.

Legal basis: Edilteco’s legitimate interest in measuring and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data are aggregated and do not identify you.

Technical data

To deliver the pages and protect the service, the hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, date and time of the request, page requested and browser. These data are used only for security and correct operation, and are kept for the limited period this requires.

Legal basis: Edilteco’s legitimate interest in the security and operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

This website does not use cookies and does not store any information on your device. That is why no consent banner appears.

The only check made on your device comes from the statistics script, which looks for its own exclusion setting — used by site administrators to leave their own visits out of the count. Unless you have switched it on yourself, there is nothing there.

Fonts and images are served from our own server: no content is loaded from social networks or advertising services. The links to LinkedIn and other websites are ordinary links; once you follow them, the policies of those websites apply.

Who receives your data

  • Edilteco staff authorised to handle enquiries, in particular the Export Department.
  • Service providers who process data on Edilteco’s behalf, bound by a data processing agreement:
    • Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus) — website hosting and sending of form emails;
    • Plausible Insights OÜ (Estonia) — visit statistics;
    • Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. (Ireland) — Edilteco’s corporate email, where enquiries are received;
    • IT consultants who maintain the website, where access to the data is needed for that purpose.
  • The licensed Edilteco partner for your territory, only with your agreement, as described above.
  • Public authorities, where required by law.

Your data are not sold and are not passed on to anyone for their own marketing.

Transfers outside the European Union

The providers listed above are established in the European Union. Some of them, or their sub-processors, may process data outside the European Economic Area — for example for technical support, or for the content delivery network that serves the pages from a location close to you. When this happens, it takes place only with the safeguards required by the GDPR: an adequacy decision of the European Commission (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for certified companies) or the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission. You can ask for information on these safeguards at privacy@edilteco.it.

How long we keep your data

Data Retention
Enquiries sent through the form For as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any discussion that follows. If no business relationship follows, they are deleted within 24 months of the last contact. If a contract follows, the retention periods of that relationship apply, up to 10 years where required by tax and civil law.
Safety copy of an enquiry that could not be delivered by email Deleted automatically after 30 days.
Anti-spam fingerprints Deleted within 24 hours.
Form activity log (date, outcome, language — no personal data) 12 months.
Visit statistics Aggregated and anonymous.

Your rights

You can ask Edilteco at any time to:

  • access your data and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase your data;
  • restrict processing;
  • receive your data in a structured, commonly used format (portability).

Right to object. Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interest, you can object at any time, for reasons related to your particular situation, by writing to privacy@edilteco.it. We will then stop, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or the data are needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Write to privacy@edilteco.it. We answer within one month; for complex requests this period can be extended by up to two further months, and we will tell you why. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.

Automated decisions

No decision concerning you is taken by automated means, and no profiling takes place.
